Which credit cards do you accept and what is your payment policy?
We accept Visa and MasterCard debit/credit cards. We DO NOT accept personal checks under any circumstances. You may also pay by cashier's check, money order, cash, or corporate/organizational check 7 days prior (or sooner) to the date of the event. Back to Top

What is your cancellation policy?
You may cancel at anytime. However, as stated in the contract, the retainer fee is non-refundable. In addition, if you cancel within 120 days of the event, you will be held liable for the entire balance. Please keep in mind, we are in an industry that books events sometimes up to 2 years in advance. We are on a first-come, first-serve basis. When an event is canceled within the 120 days, it makes it very difficult to book another event.Back to Top

How should we book DJ's Unlimited, LLC, for our special event?
From the date the packet of infomation is sent out or when you meet with us for your FREE Consultation Appointment, you have 10 days to evaluate whether or not DJ's Unlimited, LLC, is the right company for your occasion. Obviously, some clients would like to take a longer period of time to evaluate our competition, which we strongly encourage you to do. If you need more time, please call or e-mail us. We will be more than happy to grant an extension, if at all possible. However, please remember that the QUALITY entertainment companies like DJ's Unlimited, LLC, book up fast. Most of our events, such as weddings and Bar/Bat Mitzvhas book at least one year in advance. The bottom line is this: we want you to feel 100% comfortable with us when you book us! Back to Top

When should we return our informational sheets?
You should return informational sheets preferably at least one month prior to your special event. This applies especially for weddings and Bar/Bat mitzvahs.

Most of our wedding and Bar/Bat Mitzvah clients like to book a Final Consultation Appointment to discuss the details of their event since there is alot of preparation that goes into organizing these special days. However, we are more than happy to meet with any of our clients, as you are all equally important to us.

How much of the planning are we involved in (i.e., music selection, events to do or not to do)?
We strongly encourage all of our clients to plan as much of your event as possible. After all, this is YOUR night!. NOT ours! We have over 10,000+ songs to choose off our song list via our website. Of course, we actually have closer to 1,000,000 songs. We only list the more popular artists and song titles. Go nuts! We recommend picking out 10-70 songs for your night. However, that does not mean that we will be able to play every single song selected. It just gives us a general idea of what you like and dislike. Ultimately, it sets us up for success, and, more importantly, it sets up YOU for success! Obviously, we can not look at a crowd and guess what kind of music your crowd enjoys or frowns upon. You know them better than anyone.

Of course, we often have clients that do not know what their crowd would like. That's great, too! We have been doing this for over 14 years. While it may take a little longer to feel your crowd out, we are sure that we will perform above and beyond your crowd's expectations!

We often times find ourselves chuckling because brides and grooms will often say, "Why does every DJ do this?" or "Why don't the DJs get more interactive?" Our policy is that every client is completely different. Because we allow a lot of dictation from the client, we might not be doing some of the typical activities that you will see done at other weddings. Often times, we hear complaints about other disc jockey services and the fact that they do not allow the client to have a lot of say in the pre-planning stages. This is what separates DJ's Unlimited, LLC, from the majority of our competition!

Imagine listening to the same music every single weekend? If you can save us from playing some of the same songs every single weekend like the "YMCA", "Chicken Dance", "Electric Slide", "Cha-Cha Slide", etc., GREAT! At the same time, if you want all the traditional activities and games as stated previously, PERFECT! That's what gets the crowd involved so heavily in most cases. Ultimately, you want to make sure that your guests walk out of there talking about your event for years to come. Sometimes, you do not need to have much input into your event. Your crowd may dance to anything. Then there are other crowds that need a little encouragement with some icebreakers and activities. Why is having backup equipment at the event so important?
Backup equipment at the event can be one of the biggest preventions for potential headaches. Have you ever been to an event where there was a DJ and the speaker did not work? Or worse, they had to shut down the event completely because the mixer or amplifier broke? Why does this happen? Most DJ companies are just that; they are just DJ companies who are hobbyists rather than true professionals. DJ's Unlimited, LLC, is one of the very FEW companies that actually brings backup equipment for every major piece of equipment (speaker, amplifier, mixer, cd player, wires, light bulbs, etc).

Sometimes, when we bring up this unique feature that we offer, some people may think, "Doesn't this company have good equipment? Why would they need backup equipment?" While this is a good question, the answer is, "We have GREAT equipment". The challenge is that equipment is like a car or computer. It does not matter how good or expensive it is, it can break down at any time. Unfortunately, most clients do not think of this disasterous turn of events happening at their event until it is too late. Why should you worry about that, though? After all, it is not your job to worry about. A good reputable company like DJ's Unlimited, LLC, has been around for over 13 years and has seen the turmoil that other companies have caused at events. While it appears simple, it can make or break an event. DO NOT let this happen to you!

An important thing to look at with other companies is to actually go and check them out at their office and have them prove to you physically that they have backup equipment for every single system they send out. We have heard the answer that some companies give, "Our DJs are trained to fix equipment." DO NOT be fooled! This couldn't be further from the truth!!! While it is true that minor repairs such as blown light bulbs or fuses can be repaired within minutes, it can take hours or even longer to fix the bigger pieces of equipment such as speakers, mixers, computers, cd players, or amplifiers. Not only that, but much of the equipment today is so computerized that it would make it literally impossible to fix a piece of equipment of that magnitude within minutes.

Another common thing that companies will mislead clients into believing is the fact that they have a repair person at the shop that will come out on location to fix the broken equipment. Again, not only can it take the repair person minutes to hours to get there, but it can still take hours to fix. In some cases, equipment is completely unable to be repaired. The bottom line is this...there are no worries if you go with a reputable company that brings backup equipment to the event like DJ's Unlimited, LLC, has been doing for years. While it only happens once or twice a year out of the hundreds of events that we service, it saves us, and, more importantly, YOU, a 'migraine headache'. After all, most people can live with a five minute breakdown vs. having their event completely shut down. Back to Top

How long should we wait to book DJ's Unlimited, LLC?
A good 'rule of thumb' is to book the QUALITY vendors (hall, photographer, DJ, etc.) at least 6 months to 1 year in advance. Remember, the QUALITY services book up extremely fast! However, that does not mean that you should not contact us. There are some strange weekends that will not always book up completely or there may have been a cancellation that we are trying to fill. What is a FREE Consultation Appointment and why is it so important?
A Consultation Appointment is not required. However, it is HIGHLY recommended. In fact, we feel that it is so invaluable, that we have an 85% booking rate when customers come in. Please ask us about it! We feel that our potential clients need to be educated on why they should research a DJ service more than the average consumer usually does.

If you want your event to be average, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. However, please be aware that average price almost always means average to below average quality. Do you want your reception to be JUST AVERAGE? Keep in mind, that there are countless national publications that have surveys that support the fact that over 81% of your guests will remember the entertainment the MOST out of anything. While we know every piece of your event plays an integral role, please DO NOT make the mistake some clients make in choosing a service because they simply have the lowest price. Remember the old saying, "You get what you pay for!" Because of the importance the entertainment plays in the event, it is extremely important to set a good percentage of your budget allotted for your entertainment.

Remember, DJ's Unlimited, LLC, is about providing a quality service vs. a service that is just sending out quantity. Back to Top

How will my entertainment company be dressed and act?
Our entertainment company will be dressed according to what you choose on our disc jockey questionnaire. They can be dressed anywhere from suits, to shirt & tie, business casual, casual, and even in theme attire if it applies. For example, most weddings require a shirt and tie. Most school dances require casual or business casual. A 50s/60s dance would qualify as theme attire.

How will they ACT? They will act according to what type of event it is, and based on the information that you have filled out on the disc jockey questionnaire (one of our blue informational sheets). For example, if one of the questions on our sheet is to rate how interactive you would like your DJs to be on a scale of 1-10 (10 being the highest), and you put a 1 or 2, obviously, we know you are looking for more of a subdued crowd or little interaction from the DJs with the exception of the necessary announcements. If you put a 10 and that you would like for your DJs to lead participation songs, then we know that you want us to really get involved.

Keeping this in mind, however, we never want to take the focus from the guests of honor, YOU! Although we love to have FUN (it's part of our job description), we interact with taste and class. After all, it is YOUR night! ENJOY! Back to Top
